Taiwanese container scrap prices gain further

Taiwanese containerised scrap prices have increased this week, bringing to an end three weeks of stability, Kallanish notes. One Taiwanese scrap yard contact tells Kallanish that some steel mills in Taiwan have concluded deals for HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap from the US West coast at $247/tonne cfr Taiwan.
