Taiwanese container scrap prices firm on short supply
Taiwanese containerised scrap prices have continued to firm with a strong outlook on demand, Kallanish notes.
Earlier this week, deals for HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap from the US West coast were concluded at $253/tonne, which is $3/t higher than last week's $250/t. A trader tells Kallanish that scrap prices are expected to continue to increase, reaching $255/t cfr perhaps later this week.
