Taiwanese container scrap market rises
The Taiwanese containerised scrap import market rose further in tandem with rising scrap markets in Asia, Kallanish notes.
Late last week, a Taiwanese EAF mill ordered containerised HMS 1&2 80:20 from North America at $318/tonne cfr Kaohsiung. But a leading Taiwanese mill is only bidding at the maximum of $315/t cfr at which they are unable to supply, trading sources say.
