Taiwan CSC’s March profit hits 8-month high
Thanks to rising steel sales, March pre-tax profit for Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) hit an eight-month-high, according to its consolidated report for March.
In the reporting month, CSC sold 691,344 tonnes of carbon steel, up 3.62% from February but down 13.76% from a year ago. This took first-quarter sales to 1.91 million tonnes, a decrease of 14.02% on-year, Kallanish notes.
