Taiwan CSC’s second-quarter loss halves
Taiwan's China Steel Corporation (CSC) saw pre-tax loss in the second quarter narrow by 51% from Q1 to TWD 1.253 billion ($42.77 million), Kallanish notes.
In June, CSC’s revenue was TWD 23.918 billion, up 2.8% month-on-month but down -18.5% year-on-year, which signalled an end to its two-month downtrend. Pre-tax loss was TWD 225m, which narrowed 58% from May.
Revenue in Q2 was TWD 72.609 billion, down -23.5% y-o-y.
