Taiwan CSC ends five-month streak of losses
China Steel Corporation (CSC), the biggest steelmaker in Taiwan, ended five consecutive months of net losses in February because of the increase in both sales volume and prices, and a slight drop in unit cost, Kallanish learns.
Although down 3.68% year-on-year, CSC’s February sales of carbon steel still rose 21.54% from January to 667,202 tonnes. This boosted year-to-date sales to 1.22 million t, 14.17% lower y-o-y.
