Taiwan bans some stainless exports to Russia, Belarus
Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs on 4 January announced the expansion of its sanctions against Russia and Belarus in order to prevent the two countries from using Taiwan-made high-tech items for military purposes.
In a statement, the ministry incorporated 304 and 316 stainless steel plate into the items barred from being exported to Russia and Belarus, Kallanish notes. The sanctions take effect immediately.
