Taigang, Xinxing Ductile Pipe, announce capacity replacement plans
Shanxi province’s Taiyuan Iron & Steel and Hebei's Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipe have both published their capacity replacement plans. The companies intend to cut a total 3.71 million tonnes/year of steel capacity, according to Shanxi Economy & Information Commission and Hebei local government. The iron and steelmakers are adding 2.18m t/y combined iron and steel capacity however, Kallanish notes.
