Taihang Steel plans second phase of relocation
Taihang Iron & Steel in Wu’an, Hebei province announced on Tuesday its plan for the second phase of its relocation project, according to a Hebei Industry and Information Technology Department release.
Phase II will house a 1,200-cubic metre blast furnace and a 100-tonne converter, adding 1.13 million tonnes/year of iron capacity and 1.15m t/y of steel capacity, Kallanish learns. Construction completion has been scheduled for the end of this year.
