Taigang skirts Korean Standards certification ban: reports
South Korea is seeing continued imports of rebar and wire rod from China’s Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Taigang) despite the company being stripped of key certification last year. The steelmaker is using the certification of a recently acquired subsidiary to ensure its exports are not restricted, Kallanish notes.
