Synalloy idles Texas tank plant
US specialty pipe and chemicals maker Synalloy is idling its Palmer of Texas tank business due to weak oil and gas demand, Kallanish learns from a company release.
Though the company’s metals division saw an on-year shipment increase of 3.6% in the first quarter, market disruptions from low oil prices and the Covid-19 pandemic are pressuring the Andrews, Texas, facility.
