Synalloy buys Marcegaglia tubes assets in US
Synalloy has announced that it reached an agreement with Marcegaglia to purchase its galvanised tube business in Munhall, Pennsylvania. This is intended to boost the mill's revenues in line with increasing demand generated by the Section 232 steel tariffs.
The plant will be acquired through Synalloy's Bristol Metals unit effectively on 1 July. As a consequence, Marcegaglia will cease to have any operations in the US, Kallanish notes.
