Supply concern boosts coking coal prices
Australian fob coking coal rose during the week ended 5 July due to supply concerns after the Australian coal mine fire of Anglo American.
Kallanish assessed premium hard coking coal at $255.19/tonne fob Australia, jumping $18.95/t from $236.24/t fob the previous week.
On the Singapore Exchange, Premium Coking Coal Futures for August settled at $253/t fob on Friday. This is versus the July settlement price of $233/t fob a week earlier.
