European tube discounts fall on rising HRC
Welded tube prices have recovered by €70/tonne ($79.3/t) on average in Central and southern Europe compared to March. This is in line with higher hot rolled coil prices in Europe.
In some countries, such as Italy and France, the level of discount has gone down by as much as 10 points. From 45 points for Italy and 44 in France seen in March, discounts are now down to 35-38 points. In both countries smaller buyers tend to get 38 points of discount. Each point…
