Sumiden to build PC strand mill in Texas
A division of Japanese company Sumitomo Electric Industries plans to build a $15 million prestressed concrete (PC) strand facility in Dayton, Texas, Kallanish reports.
Sumiden Wire Products Corporation expects to bring the 110,000 square foot facility online in the first half of next year. The facility’s anticipated annual output will be 60,000 short tons/year.
Sumiden currently operates strand plants in Stockton, California, and Dickson, Tennessee.
