Suez Steel eyes DRI expansion, pelletising plant
Egyptian fully integrated long steel producer Suez Steel is eyeing installing a second direct reduced iron module, like its existing one, a hydrogen-ready Energiron plant running since 2015.
The steelmaker has received necessary governmental licences and is negotiating with the technology supplier, Danieli, for a DRI module with 2.5 million tonnes/year capacity, company managing director Rafic Daou says in a LinkedIn post.
