Suez Canal tolls increase effective 1 January
Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has hiked Suez Canal tolls for the third time in 2022. Effective 1 March and 1 May, the passage fees were raised in 2022, and the new price will be effective 1 January.
The announcement was made on 17 September. The transit tolls for all types of vessels (laden and ballast) will increase by 15% during 2023, while that increase is 10% for dry bulk ships and cruise ships, SCA says in a note seen by Kallani…
