Suez Canal toll hike seen impacting steel trade
Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has increased Suez Canal tolls for both laden and ballast ships by up to 20%, effective 1 May. The new announced surcharges are temporary and can be amended or cancelled based upon conditions in the maritime industry, SCA says in note seen by Kallanish.
