Suez Canal toll hike seen impacting ferrous freight
Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has increased Suez Canal tolls for both laden and ballast ships by up to 10%, effective 1 March.
The toll surge will affect all cargo vessels, but cruise ships and LNG carriers will be exempt, a senior SCA official confirms in a telephone interview with Kallanish.
