Stupp plans layoffs on weak oil market
Excess capacity at its pipe manufacturing business as a result of the declining oil market is leading Stupp Corporation to lay off employees at its facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the company says.
The layoffs will affect more than 45 employees starting in November, Kallanish learns from a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filed with the state. The layoffs are expected to exceed six months.
