Strong Taiwanese scrap price drives up rebar price

The Taiwanese containerised scrap market has been driven higher on short supply, Kallanish notes. This has also stimulated a price increase for Taiwanese rebar. A Taiwanese trader offering HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap from the US West coast says that the offers are overtaking $265/tonne cfr Taiwan this week.
