Strong demand lifts Mechel’s ferroalloy sales
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel’s Bratsk ferroalloy plant increased shipments in January-November, the company says. These amounted to 71,000 tonnes, up by 15% on- year, Kallanish notes.
Demand increased for both grades of ferrosilicon BZF, with different silicon content, the enterprise claims. These products are in demand by metallurgical enterprises in Russia and abroad. Sales of FS75 grew 6% and sales of FS65 increased by 28%.
