Strike, aerospace keep Allegheny Technologies in the red
Specialty metals producer Allegheny Technologies Inc (ATI) recorded a net loss during the second quarter, at least partially due to its long-running labour dispute with the United Steelworkers.
ATI lost $44.4 million on sales of $616.2m during the quarter, up from a loss of $419.9m on sales of $770.3m in Q2 2020 - in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic’s initial phase, Kallanish reports.
