Stelco to complete commissioning of pig iron caster
Canadian steel producer Stelco will commission a new pig iron caster at its Lake Erie Works facility in Ontario by year's end, Kallanish reports.
"In the coming months, we expect to complete work on our new pig iron caster that will enable us to further enhance our tactical flexibility and maximize our profitability," says Stelco ceo Alan Kestenbaum during the company's third-quarter conference call.
