Steel slide continues despite flat Baosteel list price
Chinese steel futures continued to slide on Wednesday despite a stronger morning. Baosteel meanwhile set the tone by ending a run of price increases with flat November list prices, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the January 2018 rebar contract closed at CNY 3,512/tonne ($533/t), CNY 41/t lower day-on-day, while the same contract for hot rolled coil closed down CNY 36/t at CNY 3,814/t.
