Steel shipments fall through Houston port
Steel shipments to the US through Houston, Texas, are projected to slow due to decreased domestic oil and gas activity, local media reports from a Port of Houston Authority budget meeting.
During the meeting, port executives said 2015 steel shipments through Houston should be down -17.6% year-on-year. Next year, that figure is expected to be down a further -11.8%, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.
