St. Lawrence Seaway strike ends, shipping backlog clearing
Cargo vessels are moving again on the St. Lawrence Seaway after the navigation system's management settled a weeklong strike with its labour union.
The Ottawa-based Chamber of Marine Commerce tells Kallanish that the accumlated vessel backlog will take 4-5 days to dislodge.
