Steel rollmaker makes $4.4m inroad into aluminum

US mill roll producer Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation has landed a major deal with a Chinese aluminium producer, increasing the company’s involvement in that sector, Kallanish reports. Ampco’s subsidiary Union Electric Steel of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, will supply the rolls for Zhongwang High Precision Aluminum Industry Co.’s new hot-rolling operation in Tainjin Province.
