Steel prices have hit bottom, Marcegaglia believes
Steel heavyweight Antonio Marcegaglia considers that steel prices have bottomed. “The world’s steel producers cannot endure further falls and will need to recover margins. Internationally we should see a rebound in the next weeks due to the dollar movement. We are announcing a €20/tonne price increase on all flat products starting in January but we are considering implementing it sooner,” Marcegaglia tells Kallanish.
