Steel prices gain as manufacturing rebound confirmed
Chinese steel futures prices gained again on Monday as sentiment remained firm. An improvement in the manufacturing sector in June helped support the market, but this may not last, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange October rebar closed up CNY 107/tonne at CNY 3,413/t ($503/t), while the same contract for hot rolled coil closed up CNY 91/t at CNY 3,460/t.
