Steel futures fall on declined infrastructure investment

Chinese steel futures decreased on Monday. Production of rebar and hot rolled coil experienced an increase last week, pushing up inventories. On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the January 2021 rebar contract closed CNY 18/tonne lower than last Friday at CNY 3,736/t ($547/t), while the same contract for HRC closed down CNY 46/t at CNY 3,864/t.
