Chinese construction steel mills announce March maintenance plans
Unlike most domestic peers, some construction steelmakers in China arrange maintenance for after the Spring Festival holiday period. This allows them more time to adjust production plans to the actual market trend. High inventory levels have caused some concern over long product prices so maintenance in March may remove some of the pressure from these producers if prices fall, Kallanish notes.
