Steel futures stay put while positive outlook firms
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures stayed put on Wednesday as spot transactions remained unchanged and the market was quiet. The outlook for the rest of the year meanwhile has firmed, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 3/tonne higher than Tuesday at CNY 3,731/t ($516/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 10/t to CNY 3,825/t.
