Steel futures stabilise as production rises again
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures stabilised on Wednesday at higher levels than Tuesday’s average intraday trading prices due to macro bullish expectations, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 2/tonne lower than Tuesday at CNY 3,739/t ($522/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 2/t to CNY 3,847/t.
