Steel futures slump on typhoon-impacted demand
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures accelerated declines on Wednesday afternoon when data on falling weekly demand circulated in markets. A drop in buying had been expected because of the devastating Typhoon Doksuri ravaged China from south to north in the past week, Kallanish notes.
