Steel futures slump as Baosteel offers flatten
Chinese steel futures prices fell on Monday, as sentiment was hit by economic data releases. Baosteel meanwhile released its December price list, keeping most flats prices flat, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the January 2020 rebar contract closed at CNY 3,373/tonne ($483/t), CNY 39/t lower than Friday, while the same contract for hot rolled coil closed down CNY 33/t at CNY 3,321/t.
