Steel futures slow growth after two-day surge
After surging for two days in a row, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures slowed their growth on Wednesday but still finally climbed slightly with support from raw materials, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the May 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 23/tonne higher than Tuesday at CNY 4,860/t ($770/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 59/t at CNY 5,138/t.
