Steel futures trends diverge
Chinese rebar futures corrected lower on Tuesday, while hot rolled coil futures hit a new record high, Kallanish notes.
On 23 March on the Shanghai Futures Exchange, May 2021 rebar futures closed CNY 48/tonne lower than Monday at CNY 4,715/t ($724/t). The same contract for HRC closed up CNY 31/t at CNY 5,128/t, hitting a new historic high.
