Steel futures stabilise after downward corrections
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures stabilised on Tuesday, following a sharp drop over the previous three trading days. Speculative sentiment has cooled down, and China is steadily advancing regulatory policies to limit inflation, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the October rebar contract closed CNY 14/tonne higher than Monday at CNY 5,610/t ($873/t), while the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 31/t at CNY 5,980/t.
