Steel futures remain stable while spot prices dive
As the market remained quiet, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures just remained stable at low levels on Tuesday. They finally saw lower intraday trading prices despite closing higher than Monday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 19/tonne higher than Monday at CNY 3,588/t ($509/t), while the same contract for HRC gained CNY 4/t to CNY 3,651/t.
