Steel futures remain high despite low spot transactions
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures fluctuated higher on Tuesday accompanied by low spot transaction volumes. The market’s vigilance begins to climb, Kallanish observes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded May 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 31/tonne higher than Monday at CNY 4,124/t ($608/t), while the same contract for HRC gained CNY 20/t to CNY 4,166/t.
