Steel futures rebound, mills expand production cuts
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures strengthened on Monday due to capital inflow to raw material derivatives.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded January 2024 rebar contract closed CNY 37/t higher than last Friday at CNY 3,657/t ($500/t), and the same contract for HRC gained CNY 45/t to CNY 3,772/t.
