Steel futures rebound slowly without further support
On Wednesday, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures continued to rebound slowly in the volatile market. The two-day rebound has still not made up for the decline on Monday and prices remain fluctuating within a range, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the October rebar contract closed CNY 31/tonne higher than Tuesday at CNY 5,035/t ($788/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 78/t at CNY 5,366/t.
