Steel futures rebound slowly from four-year lows
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures rebounded slowly from four-year lows on Monday, accompanied by a synchronous trend in raw materials, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2024 rebar contract closed at CNY 3,156/tonne ($442/t) on Monday, up CNY 78/t from the prior trading day. The same contract for HRC gained just CNY 15/t to CNY 3,176/t.
