Steel futures rebound from lows
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures on Tuesday rebounded from four-month lows as market sentiment calmed down, despite spot prices remaining weak, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded May 2024 rebar contract closed at CNY 3,824/tonne ($531/t) on Monday, up CNY 75/t on the prior trading day. The same contract for HRC gained CNY 65/t to CNY 3,937/t.
