Steel futures rebound despite production gains
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures remain volatile without a clear driving force. They turned to hike slightly on Tuesday after declining for four consecutive trading days, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 61/tonne higher than Monday at CNY 3,728/t ($517/t), while the same contract for HRC gained CNY 80/t to CNY 3,835/t.
