Steel futures rebound after a three-day dive
As the news of regulatory interventions is being gradually priced in and demand is gradually recovering, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures rebounded on Wednesday after dropping three days in a row, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the May 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 104/tonne higher than Tuesday at CNY 4,832/t ($762/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 96/t at CNY 4,939/t.
