Steel futures keep falling as sentiment turns negative
Steel production has begun to hike in line with previous expectations but demand has not, and raw materials prices tumbled. Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures dipped deeper on Tuesday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 90/t lower than Monday at CNY 3,875/t ($560/t), and the same contract for HRC closed down CNY 76/t at CNY 3,885/t.
