Steel futures inch up on Shanghai resumption hopes
Freed from the influence of falling raw materials futures prices, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures rose slowly again on Wednesday, boosted by signals that Covid situation Shanghai is easing, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 95/tonne higher than Tuesday at CNY 5,106/t ($797/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 59/t at CNY 5,223/t.
