Steel futures inch up on coke cutbacks
On Wednesday, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures were still struggling to climb up amid turbulence, and to break out of the trough they slumped into last Friday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 56/t higher than Tuesday at CNY 3,830/t ($561/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 66/t at CNY 3,821/t.
